EST. 2026 INDEPENDENT RESEARCH VOL. I

Research at the edge of the possible.

Z-Space Dynamics is the independent research practice of Kevin Nussbaum. The work spans five fields — robotics and automation, AI and computation, energy and infrastructure, natural systems, and frontier science — and holds every one of them to the same standard: claims tagged by epistemic status, verdicts priced in scenarios, and nothing dressed up beyond its evidence.

01

Rigorous

Whether the subject is theoretical physics or current energy markets, every paper is grounded in the literature, the data, and the observable. Speculation is labeled. Evidence is cited.

02

Forward

All work here looks forward — sometimes by asking what if, sometimes by reading the present clearly enough to see what comes next.

03

Independent

No institutional affiliation. No editorial gatekeeping. Work is published as it is finished, freely available to anyone who wishes to read it.

// AN INVITATION

Introductions, not textbooks.

Every paper here is a starting point — a thorough introduction to a subject, but not the final word on it. No single whitepaper can exhaust a question worth asking. The intent is to give a reader enough to understand the shape of a thing, follow the citations, and continue from there.

If a paper sparks a question that goes further than its scope, that's a feature, not a flaw. Readers with deeper interests are encouraged to write. Bespoke research — going further on a specific subject, or beginning a new one entirely — is available to commissioning clients on inquiry. And if there's a subject you've always wanted to see treated seriously, the suggestion is genuinely welcomed. Some of the best papers begin as someone else's question.

The name came from science fiction. The physics turned out to be stranger.
